Hello, everyone! So on the 5th November 2015 the students in Hospitality and Tourism department got a chance to go to WTM (World Travel Market) in London Excel. It was a busy day but the exhibitions from all the different countries were fascinating! Here are some of the photos that I took. Hope you enjoy! :)

Swan Lake: The Birmingham Royal Ballet

© @nadiam1995 on Instagram

Hello, everyone! Hope you're all doing well. It's been a week since I went to watch Swan Lake. The Birmingham Royal Ballet performed it at The Grand Opera House in Belfast. I can't tell you who the casts are because I don't have the book with me but I will tell you when I do.

I booked the ticket at the last minute because I didn't know about it. My friend Kaye posted it on Facebook and since I was going home (Northern Ireland) for the weekend, I thought, "I might as well watch it." I adore ballet and was I’ve only seen performance on the TV.

I invited my cousin to watch it but he wasn't available so, I asked my brother to go with me. He wasn't keen about and but I dragged him with me! Haha. He described ballet as "hopping like rabbits."

It was a great night! It started at 7:30 pm and finished at around 10:30pm.

I said on my social media post "[Act IV The lakeside] The music and the costumes used were impeccable. I love how they wore 19th Century Royal fashion on Acts 1 and 3 as their costumes. Everything was ingeniously designed; the gems and diamonds on their crowns twinkled like stars in the night sky, the gowns and capes draped on the floor seamlessly, the detailed sequins gleamed brightly and, the well-tailored tutus bloomed fully."

It allured my eyes and my ears. The art, the music, the beauty, and the feelings that were portrayed put me in awe. It was a memorable night!

I believe that is carrot cake and Venti Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate.

LUSH HAUL | Review

Hello, everyone! I was going to post this haul last week but I decided  to wait another week so I can talk more about what I think of the products that I purchased.

I got these products for 3 weeks now and I have to say, I'm amazed by these.

So, the products that I purchased are:
  1. Tea Tree Water
  2. Eau Roma Water (100g)
  3. Cup O' Coffee
  4. Coal Face Facial Soap

For more information about these products, please click the hyperlinks above. You can also shop it from there.

I love LUSH Cosmetics because they fight against animal testing and their products are handmade. I've been to two LUSH outlets and all their staff is excellent and helpful. No, this is not a sponsored post and the reviews that I will be saying later in this post are my own.

The first thing that I am going to talk about is the Tea Tree Water. I got the 250g and I can't even remember how much this one cost. It's probably around £14+. This product is great and I've been using it every night since I got it. This claims to help keep away the spots because it is an "antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial". It does the job! My skin has been clear since I started using it.

The next product that I'm going to talk about is the Eau Roma Water. I only got the 100g one and this is only £4.50. The scent of this one is better than the Tea Tree one because this contains rose and lavender water. I love this product as well and I spritz this on my face every morning before applying my moisturiser. I usually leave it to dry by itself but when I'm in a rush, I spritz the product on the cotton pad and apply it on my face. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed!

Cup O' Coffee

Cup O'Coffee is probably the best exfoliating mask that I've ever used. It is combined with roasted cocoa extract, vetivert and coriander oil. This is only £12.25 (350g) I use it both on my face and body. I started using this over the summer. When I first used it on my face, I didn't really like it because the smell was too strong so mainly used it on my body. I still have half of the tub at home. Now that I'm in Uni, I repurchased it because I love it that much. I also started using it on my face now and my skin is loving it. It has coffee grounds which is really good for exfoliating. I use it 2-3 times a week on both my face and body. The bad thing about this product is that it leaves the shower and sink dirty!

Lastly, the Coalface. This soap is amazing! I don't use it everyday because it leaves my face dry after washing  my face (it claims to absorb oil, duh). I don't really give a big fuss about it because I use moisturiser anyway. Plus, it is gentle on my skin. I probably just use this 2-4 times a week. You can also use it on your body, too. I haven't tried using it on my body but I will at some point. This one has shimmery stuff in it which I think is cute. It doesn't have the candy scent that I want in soap but the result is good so I can't complain anything about it.

What is your favourite LUSH product? Let me know in the comment section below. :)

Everyday Makeup Look | Autumn Edition

Tis' the season to look vampy!
Hello, everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. Today's post is all about my autumn/fall everyday makeup look. When I say everyday, I mean, the days where I feel like exerting effort and trying to look cute. I don't really wear make up everything because ain't nobody got time for that + it's not good for your skin.

So, below are the products that I use on a "daily" basis.
M.A.C Prep + Prime
M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish (Medium Dark)
Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette (Medium)
Revlon Rose Glow (Eclat Rose 020)
M.A.C Eye brows Crayon (Stud)
Maybelline Brow Drama (Medium Brown)
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
Nivea Lip Butter (Blueberry Blush)
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer (304 Eclipse)

Here are the steps on how I achieve my "Daily" look. It's pretty easy and it just usually takes me 13-15 minutes to do it. So if you're in a rush, this makeup look is handy for you!

1
After toning and moisturising my face, I spritz the M.A.C Prep + Prime on my face and I try do it evenly as possible. But let's be realistic, I spray more on some other areas of my face.

2
I then apply the Nivea Lip Butter on my lips to moisturise it.

3
When my face is all dry, I then use the Real Techniques expert face brush to apply the powder on my face in circular motions. I always make sure that the powder is applied evenly on my face. This powder gives the slightest coverage but it works for me!

4
I then contour my face after to give it a bit of definition because my face structure is too round. I use Real Techniques blush brush to do this. I use the Matte powder from the palette for this.

5
I then apply a tiny amount of blush on the apples of my cheeks using the Revlon Rose Glow blush. This gives highlight which makes my skin look glowing.

6
I then move to my eyebrows using the M.A.C eyebrow crayon in Stud. I just lightly fill and redefine my eyebrows a bit since it's a bit thick.

7
I then apply Maybelline's brow gel in Medium Brown to set my eyebrows in place.

8
Curling my lashes makes a difference, so I do that. To set the curl, I use Benefit roller lash mascara. I usually put 1 or two coats.

9
Lastly, which is the fun part; I then apply the Rimmel Apocalips and use my ring finger to distribute it on my lips. This way it the lip lacquer looks matte. I then build it up to make the colour more opaque.

So, that's it. My simple autumn everyday makeup look in 9 easy steps! Hope you enjoyed reading this post.

As some of you might know, I'm already back in university and these photos were taken back home so you can see the fuchsia study lamp on the background! Haha. I will be uploading my room details sometime soon so stay tuned.

BLOG RELAUNCH | Xyza Grafil

AAAAAAHHH! Hello, everyone! Today, I am relaunching my blog with a costumed domain name. I feel really excited about this. I've been working on my blog for the past few months and been trying to make it look pretty. I know I still have bits-and-pieces to fix but I'm going to launch it anyway because my blog is close from being done and today is the 1st day of the new month so, why not?

My blog will be 2 years old next month and I haven't even done a proper introduction about it. I don't even know if my other posts made any sense because I didn't proof read any of them.

So, this is it- WELCOME TO MY BLOG! This is mainly a personal blog with mixtures of fashion, beauty,  foods, DIYs and my other thoughts.

Stay tuned for my next post. I'm going to try to be as active as possible.

I hope you're all having a brilliant day and be sure to connect with me.

DAY OUT WITH REYN

Giant's Causeway Photo Diary

And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had the familiar conviction that life was beginning again with the summer.

I sound poetic don't I? Well, that's because I didn't write the above sentence. It is a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald's  book called "The Great Gatsby". I quoted that because I think it kind of go well along with this post. Northern Ireland's Summer 2015 has been dreadful and whenever it's sunny, my parents and I are either stuck at work or just exhausted.

However, the day when we went to Giant's Causeway was different; we were all energised and the giant spotlight in the sky was out. But to be honest, we just planned to go to Portstewart Beach on that day and going to Giant's Causeway just kind of happened unexpectedly.

I got a chance to climb up a mini-mountain (is there such thing?) well, it wasn't a hill either (or was it?) I don't know how to define it but my dad, my brother and I climbed it up anyway- I climbed it wearing a maxi dress. It wasn't scary but it was heart-pounding but, that didn't matter because my goal was to climb to the top.

As I am writing what I experienced right now, I just realised that no matter how terrifying the journey is in life, it wouldn't matter especially if you are focused and well-determined of your goals.
